BARBADIANS should prepare themselves for nine storms during this year's
hurricane season.

Of these nine, five could become hurricanes -- one of severe intensity.

Acting Director of the Meteorological office, Peter Drakes, has warned
Barbadians to "be prepared" even though this year's hurricane season appears
"less active" than in previous years.
