Greenland too beautiful to spoil / LETTERS

I FEEL compelled to write this letter.

I am an ordinary person, a Barbadian, a humble person. I am asking a question: How far is Greenland from Farley Hill National Park? I raise that question because I attended a wedding at Farley Hill recently and I am telling you St. Andrew is one of the most beautiful parishes of Barbados. I think everyone in Barbados should join together in protest against the garbage dump in Greenland, St. Andrew.

I think Barbadians should also make a concerted effort to stop littering. Barbados has become a very dirty island. We are progressing with buildings and bigger houses, but we are becoming very dirty. I am on the roads every day and I am tired of seeing the amount of litter on the highways.

The Prime Minister was in China earlier this year. Did he look into how they dispose of their garbage? Please help us before we create another Mount Stinkeroo.
