CREW MEMBERS from the Virginian successfully dislodged the yachts anchor from a coral reef yesterday under the supervision of the Coast Guard as law enforcement authorities considered their course of action.

The yacht which is owned by Sir Anthony Bamford of Heron Bay, caused damage to coral reefs just outside the boundary of the Folkestone Marine Park when it dropped its anchor. Two marine laws in Barbados make it an offence to damage, or destroy coral
reefs. The incident has led to a call by Sir Charles Williams, co-owner of Port St. Charles Marina, for mooring buoys to be established along the West Coast and he offered to pay for ten moorings.

Pictured are (Virginia-03) two coast guard vessels circling the yacht, just before divers from the vessel dislodged the anchor.
